The usual raw materials in pulp moulding systems are waste paper and cardboard and water.  The paper is re-pulped within the MoldMaster stainless steel pulper and moulded into various items such as egg trays, egg cartons, fruit trays and various types of industrial packaging.

The people at MoldMaster are keen to work with customers who wish to use different raw materials to waste paper and cardboard.  We work with our customers and their different raw materials to produce MoldMaster moulding machines which will utilise their required materials.  MoldMaster also work closely with their customers to produce the necessary moulds (dies) to form the raw materials into the products that are required.

Examples of the materials that have been successfully used in the Moldmaster moulding machines are such things as a mix of fibreglass and graphite to produce 25 mm thick fireproof door panels.

MoldMaster also collaborated with Europe’s biggest producer of biodegradable seed and plant pots to produce a new generation of moulding machines using a mix also of wood fibre and light peat.  The pots are used for horticulture and have an exceptionally high permeability to water, air and roots.  This property, combined with its high mechanical strength has established the success of the of the biodegradable pots made of plant fibres

Moldmaster machines can also use waste fibre effluent from paper mills as a proportion of the raw material – usually mixed with approximately 50% waste paper to produce good quality pulp moulded packaging.

In addition to waster paper and cardboard, other papers can be used such as Kraft paper, fax paper, general office paper waste, telephone directories and for very good quality white products envelope off cuts are ideal.

Contact us with details of your raw materials and the MoldMaster team will be pleased to advise you.
